HOT STREAK CONTINUES - 4 FROM 5

Our winning run continued at Catterick Bridge this afternoon when An Fear Ciuin (Gaelic for 'The Quiet Man') made all the running in the 2 mile handicap to win cosily under our star 7lb claimer Callum Rodriguez. The well bred son of Galileo has now won 4 of his 16 flat starts & is proving a real bargain for owner David Proos in colours made famous by staying chaser Rinus who finished 3rd in Mr Frisk's Grand National having previously defeated Gold Cup winner The Thinker at Haydock Park.

Mount Cheiron started the ball rolling when a 20/1 scorer at Newcastle before following up at Wolverhampton (9/2) last Friday night. Dolphin Rock (10/1) then got in on the act after 3 placed efforts when proving too strong for the front running Emblaze in a 7 furlong handicap at Carlisle on Monday.

Since late March we have had 12 winners & 19 placed horses (2nd/3rd/4th) from 60 runners which is a strike rate (winners to runners) of 20% - twice the national average. Any top trainer would be proud of that but when you are dealing (in the main) with cheaply bought & older horses it says a lot for trainer Richard Ford & our excellent staff who work long hours (often in wet weather) to produce these outstanding results!

Since we started training more than 6 years ago we have not increased our training fees - surely pound for pound there can be NO BETTER YARD IN THE COUNTRY!!
