NEW YEAR - NEW START FOR LRS

A very happy New Year to everyone involved with LRS - our owners (both current & prospective), friends, supporters, followers & last, but certainly not least, our hard working staff!

2018 marks the start of a brand new chapter in the short history of Lancashire's newest & most successful training yard. As you will probably know RICHARD FORD handed in his trainer's licence last month after almost 6 years at the helm. During that time we enjoyed 66 successes both on the flat & over jumps at a strike rate well above the national average. Our thanks go to Fordy for his hard work, skill, dedication & determination in helping us to become established in this most difficult of sporting arenas where the equine athletes need the very best of everything 365 days of the year. We wish him all the very best for the future!

Today we are pleased to announce that we have a new licence holder in MIKE HAMMOND who will be leasing the yard until 31st May. Full details can be found in a separate article in this News section entitled Press Release 18/01/18.

STELLA BARCLAY will be Assistant Trainer to Mike & help in the day to day running of the business. Stella, who was previously assistant to both Fordy & Bruce Hellier (2010 - 12), is currently taking various courses which should enable her to apply for a trainer's licence when Mike's lease expires. Stella along with her husband PAUL CLARKSON are the owners of LANCASHIRE RACING STABLES.

Finally an invitation to each & everyone of you reading this article - if you have ever thought about getting involved in racehorse ownership then give us a call on 01995 605790.
