Horse Racing Syndicates

Trainer Stella Barclay & Lancashire Racing Stables (LRS) are offering for sale the following three horses (one on the flat & two over jumps) in quarter shares. Full details appear below. If you decide to get involved then you will be asked to pay 25% of the horse’s training fees & racing expenses. This will equate to about £250 per month plus approximately £100 per run to cover race entry fees, jockeys’ riding fees, transportation to the races & staff expenses.

We all know the thrill of backing a winner. Well multiply that by 50 or 100 times & that is the feeling of excitement & euphoria you get when you are the owner/part owner of that horse. We believe that by having four people in a horse it is an ideal number. You only have to pay a quarter of the costs but you are not sharing the horse with lots of others. Your views count & we feel that ‘a leg’, as it is often called, provides you with the perfect level of involvement.

If you decide to join us then you are welcome to come over to the yard as often as you like – there are no restrictions whatsoever.

Details of the three horses in which shares are currently available are as follows:-

SULAMANI 6 year old gelding

This unnamed six year old gelding (stable name 'Diesel') is out of a mare (Riverbank Rainbow) who won a 13 runner Uttoxeter Bumper by 12 lengths. He is now back in training having been given a winter break after being broken in & educated last year. He has done everything asked of him so far & has the looks, size & scope to give us hope that one day he could make up into a nice staying chaser. With the price of promising young jumpers going through the roof, you will struggle to find a better value offer anywhere! The cost of a 25% share (including all training fees up to 31st May) is only £2,250.

MOUNT CHEIRON - 7 year old gelding

If you want to have a runner & go to the races on a regular basis then this is your man! There is just one 25% share left in this gelded son of Henrythenavigator who has won 5 races to date as well as finishing in the frame (2nd, 3rd & 4th) on 18 other occasions. Virtually all low grade handicaps now offer prize money down to 8th place & therefore he rarely comes back from the races empty handed! The cost of the last quarter share is only £500 plus your share of his training fees & racing expenses from 1st May. Runs next at Hamilton Park on 31st May.

Mount Cheiron

She is an exceptionally good looking seven year old daughter of Moon Ballet out of a Slip Anchor mare who has previously produced 4 winners from 4 runners. Beaten a neck in a Maiden Irish Point in October, 2016, the Irish P2P review noted that ‘How Much Is Enough showed the clear benefit of a summer break, stepping-up notably on the experience which she had gained last season when only narrowly beaten on her seasonal re-appearance at Loughrea. Appearing to handle the testing conditions well, the daughter of Moon Ballet raced up with the pace throughout and was sent to the front immediately after jumping the penultimate fence in a move which injected an increase to the tempo of the race. Battling well once re-joined in the home straight, she fought gamely up the extended run-in, going down by just a neck at the line. She picked up an injury last year but should be back in action in June. The cost is only £1,500 per 25% share including all training fees, etc. up to 1st June.
