Indoor School Already A Winner!

Today has been a special day at LRS with the opening of our brand new Indoor School. With snow & frost lying on the ground, it has been in use for most of the day proving what a great addition it is going to be to the excellent facilities we already have.

LRS Indoor School

Costing £150,000 it has been partly funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (Europe investing in rural areas). The surface is Canter Carpet, a high-performance equestrian surface which uses superior quality recycled carpet fibres to provide a perfectly cushioned ride. Among the trainers using Canter Carpet are Nicky Henderson, Peter Bowen, Kerry Lee & Oliver Greenall.

This imposing looking building will enable us to exercise horses during the worst of the weather & give us another option in addition to our wood fibre all weather gallop, fibresand lunge ring, horse walker & miles of country lanes/tracks.

It will also prove beneficial in breaking in & educating young horses in a confined area as well as being used to school horses over hurdles. We also have five two-year-olds in training this year & the school will play a big part in their early education/preparation.
