Stella’s husband, Paul Clarkson, is the Director of Racing at LRS. Having worked in the racing industry for more than 35 years, Paul recently retired from his role as Raceday Presenter (MC) for many of the Northern racecourses having officiated at 3,500 meetings. Prior to that he was Racing Secretary to trainer Jack Berry (1972 - 1975); Chairman and founder of the North West Racing Club (1980 - 1983); Racing Correspondent for BBC Radio Lancashire (1982 - 1987); Director of Northern and Provincial Thoroughbred Racing plc (1984 - 1985) and Public Relations Officer & Marketing Executive for the Racecourse Association (1987 - 1995).

 

All this experience and expertise plus his extensive networks and professional contacts, as well as many years running and managing syndicates for a host of trainers and racecourses, are now being exclusively devoted to helping LRS achieve its targets and ambitions.
