We all know the thrill you get from backing a winner. Well multiply that 50 or 100 times and that is the feeling of excitement and euphoria you have when you are the owner of that horse.

If you have not experienced it then it is difficult to put into words, but it is a day you will remember for the rest of your life. Lancashire Racing Stables wants as many people as possible to experience – again and again - this feeling and that’s why we are committed to offering you the chance to become an owner or part owner.

Here are various types of ownership options that are now available under the Rules of Racing:

Is for when you own 100% of a horse and it will therefore run in your name and colours.  Any costs or profits will be yours alone.

This is for two or more people who want to share the ownership of one or more horses and where all members of the Partnership are registered owners. Partnerships allow owners to define the percentage of each horse they own and split costs and winnings in accordance with ownership share.

A company can register as an owner, owning a horse 100% but they must appoint a registered agent to act on its behalf. The horse will be in the sole ownership of the company and company shareholders.

Leasing is a good option if you don't wish to purchase a horse. The horse will run under the ownership of the lessee and the costs are the responsibility of the lessee for the lease period. At the end of the lease agreement the ownership of the horse returns to the lessor or legal owner.

Perfect for people who want to share the ownership of a horse. A Syndicate is managed and administered by the Syndicator(s). Only the syndicator(s) must register as an owner. It isn't necessary for Members of the Syndicate to register as owners.

A fantastic option for people who want to pay a subscription to experience racehorse ownership.  A Racing Club is managed and administered by the Club manager(s) and it is the Club itself, as opposed to its members, that own the horse. Members pay a fee to be part of the Club and to enjoy some of the benefits of racehorse ownership but at little cost.

We have two racing club options which are:

Stella Barclay Racing Club which is now coming to the end of its second year will be relaunched during October, 2023. Full details of the SBRC Membership can be found under the HORSES FOR SALE tab at the top of this page.

Matt Watkinson Racing Club for just £30 per month & have an interest in at least two horses (flat & jumping) as well as being part of one of the most vibrant What's App racing forums around!

All you really need to know is that with LRS you can become involved for as little as £120 per month or less than £4 per day!  We have shares available from 5% all the way up to a full horse. Whether you prefer flat racing or jumping we really have something to suit all tastes and budgets and LRS is here to help you make the right and appropriate choice. You can also lease a share (as opposed to buy) meaning that you have nothing to pay up front. And if you buy more than 50% of a horse then he/she can run in your name & colours. We also have a few unnamed horses – what about you giving one of them a name?
